Building a Home
Each building that is constructed will give many children a home within a community, where members of that community can be paid to help look after the children. This helps to elevate poverty at many levels. A place where they will be able to get education, proper nutrition, medical care, water and other basic essentials and hope for the future, things that we take for granted. These homes can accommodate anywhere from 12 to 50 children. $10,000 - $70,000 depending on country.
Corporate Sponsorship
The ultimate gift - Build a home and help support the children. Get the workplace involved. Name the home after your company e.g. "Jane Smith and Co. Home of Hope", AFO will have a link to your website.
Sponsor a Project
You or your company can provide for the construction of a multitude of facilities that are part of any child's life.
- Playground
- Shaded outdoor areas
- Wells / Water purification plant
- Computers and other educational needs
- Vocational training facilities e.g. carpentry, tailoring, weaving, animal husbandry and textile
- Auditorium and Library
- Access to health education and medical assistance
We appreciate all offers of support in assisting Aussies for Orphans to continue to do what we are doing so well, supporting children in developing countries. If you would like to help us by fundraising for our projects we would love to hear from you.
Fundraisers
Fundraisers do not have to be huge extravaganzas (although we do love those occasionally). Get some friends together and host a dinner, morning tea or cheese and wine night. Do some baking or clear out your (and your neighbours) garage and have a cake or market stall. Contact your local cinema to host a movie nights. Suggest to some local businesses that you put on a fashion parade or special sale. Have a theme party etc etc etc. The list of ideas is only limited by your imagination.
Of course we are only a phone call or email away to help you with your fundraiser by supplying ideas, information, photographs, displays, resources (even one of us if we can), stories and of course lots of support.
